Sun Valley SHARKS Swim Team
Swim Team
We encourage all children (ages 5-16) to join the Sun Valley Sharks swim team. It is an excellent way to strengthen swimming skills, is a great form of exercise and a wonderful team sport. Sun Valley continues to be part of our area summer swim league, which includes: Lexington Town Pool, Paint Rock, Winchester Boat Club, Winchester Swim & Tennis and Winchester Country Club.
We recognize summer is busy with camps and travel and we welcome all swimmers to participate as they are able. You do not have to attend all practices or meets. It is a fun, no pressure environment. Please join us!
2025 Season Update
The 2025 schedule will be updated in the spring. Please check back. Preliminary dates are below to give you a general idea based on prior years, but all dates are subject to change as the league has not yet finalized the 2025 schedule yet.
Swim Team will run from mid June through the end of July. We will begin with pre-season practices outside of school hours in mid/late June. Our regular morning practice will start after school ends and events will include a relay carnival on Sat. June 21, five dual meets on Wednesday afternoons (June 25-July 23), and championships on Sat. July 26. We will celebrate the season with a banquet at Sun Valley (likely July 28 evening).
Sign Ups open April 1. Join the swim team this spring.
Parent Orientation Meeting
A parent/coach orientation meeting will be held following two of the evening practices on in mid June TBA.
Parents, please join us at 6 pm on one night or the other.
Team Suit
We ask each swim team participant to purchase an ALL BLACK swimsuit to wear during meets so the team has a uniform look. Each swim team participant will be given a Sun Valley Sharks swim cap to complete the team uniform. You can purchase the solid black suit from your preferred store (any brand is fine).
As a convenience black Speedo suits are available at a discounted price via this online team store (coming soon!). Sun Valley Sharks t-shirts and sweatpants in youth and adult sizes are also available for sale if you wish to purchase some swag and show your team spirit. Size charts are included for your reference (see item images for suits and below size dropdown for apparel).
Limited time only - must order by May 23.
All items ordered thru the online team store will be delivered by June 18.
