This is a reminder that Teen Night is tonight and the pool will be closing at 7 pm for this event. There is still space for teens (ages 12+) to sign up, and guests are welcome too.
POOL SAFETY REMINDERS
Balls in the pool - The only balls that are allowed to be used in the pool are the soft squishy balls made specifically for water or beach balls. Approved balls must be thrown in a safe manner, not over other swimmers, nor across the lap lanes. Ball use is subject to permission from the lifeguard or manager and ball play may be limited/not allowed during times that the pool is very busy. Tennis balls, pickleballs, regular or nerf footballs, or any other hard balls are never permitted.
GLASS is not permitted inside the pool area.

Important Notes About Championships
While during the regular season, we have the flexibility to accommodate stroke and age group requests, due to the limited entry spaces set by the league, we are not able to accommodate any such requests for championships. Many kids will need to “swim up” in order to fill spaces and give the team the best chance of success. Often times there is simply not enough space to put all of our swimmers of a particular age in their typical age group. In order to give everyone the chance to swim events, these adjustments need to be made and it is commonplace amongst the entire league, especially larger teams like Sun Valley. While some people may feel disappointed by their event assignments, they have been thoughtfully planned by coaches. We ask that parents and guardians encourage your children and help make the focus of this meet team based rather than focusing on individual achievements. We will share the meet entries a little later this week. We’re looking forward to a great meet! GO SHARKS!!!!
